Life in Transition

Saturday, May 1 at 12:30 pm

This presentation takes a look at the Six Human Needs theory as a tool for managing and thriving in transitional periods. The Needs are for Certainty, Variety, Significance, Love and Connection, Growth, and Contribution. There are predictable life transitions such as moving from childhood into adulthood and there are unexpected transitions such as the Covid pandemic or a disease diagnosis.

Each transition brings its unique set of life lessons and challenges. Understanding the Six Human Needs is like having a tool at hand to navigate with purpose and clarity. It is also a way to use the drive of need to reshape your life in the best possible way with your own unique goals, temperament, and contribution as well as to assist others in becoming their best selves.
