Journey to Wholeness: Journey from Military Sexual Trauma to Self
Breakout Session
The journey to wholeness requires that you look honestly, openly, and with courage into yourself, into the dynamics that lie behind what you feel, what you perceive, what you value, and how you act. It is a journey through your defenses and beyond so that you can experience consciously the nature of your

personality, face what it has produced in your life, and choose to change that. Words lead to deeds. They prepare the soul, make it ready, and move it to tenderness.
The quote above sums up pretty eloquently my journey from Trauma back to wholeness. In 10 minutes I hope to share my tremendous journey to wholeness. To describe how I had to be willing to look into the mirror of my life and make some choices as to how this journey would look and be successful.
It was a hard journey. One that started with willingness and to keep the momentum I had to invite perseverance onto the pathway. I am still on this path of healing, and on this journey, I have found the other half of myself that longed to be reconnected and made whole. My Tools, courage, perseverance, Faith, Spirit, positive self-talk, and the will to live despite how difficult and scary the past was. Today, I am becoming “Whole” and I feel connected to my mind, body, spirit, and soul. And more Alive than I ever have felt.
About Barb McEntee
Barbara (Barb) McEntee served in the US Army National Guard from 1981 to 1993, first as a generation and diesel mechanic, then as a UH-H1 Hydraulic Mechanic and Turbo Specialist, and eventually found her niche as an LPN in a Combat Support Hospital.
Since her discharge from National Guard, Barb’s spiritual pursuit of personal transformation took on a new meaning after a medical crisis in 1992 and another in 1994, both resulting in a near-death experience. Following these experiences, her true life purpose was revealed and her internal spiritual gifts emerged in such a manner that they opened up new doors, new paradigms, and new energy modalities which were needed to pursue her purpose and calling. Barb began her transformative journey towards the healing arts by studying Zen Buddhism. Over the last 26 years, she has studied with Zen Masters, Tibetan Nun’s, Higher Vibrational Energy Shaman’s, High Priestesses, Native American Shaman’s, Reiki Masters, & Theta Instructors, and Cosmic Channel Medium’s.
As a natural Empath & Psychic Intuitive/Mystic, Barb integrates aspects of each of these modalities with her clients. She also has over 23 years’ experience in the medical field & is now a Woman Priest, ordained in the Order of Melchizidek. In 2021, she, with two other women facilitated the writing and publishing of the book, “Trauma Informed Care: Addressing Cultural Sensitivity of Women Veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder related to Military Sexual Trauma in the Veterans Healthcare System and Civilian Healthcare Systems; Nova Publishers, to help educate professionals working with women veterans in these settings. Through her work, she helps others remove barriers (both energetic and physical, emotional) while assisting her clients to find their own unique path through self-discovery and holistic healing.
