Welcome to Haelan House
“Haelan” is an Old-English word for healing. It fits our organization perfectly. Haelan House is about healing the root causes and effects of trauma…creating health, resilience and wholeness.
At Haelan House, we want you to know, there is HOPE for HEALING TRAUMA and you do not have to do it alone. If you are feeling the burden of the persistent on-going stressors of life or trying to heal from past painful experiences know that you can regain your inner strength and start living life again. By healing trauma, you can build resilience, and begin to thrive, not just survive.
Most people have endured at least one traumatic experience in their life, which if left unaddressed can lead to mental, emotional, and physical challenges. This can then affect how you engage in life and interact with others causing more distress and disharmony. However, when you focus on getting to the root cause of these painful experiences, you can begin to rediscover the amazing person you are and have always been.
What led Cheryl Mills and Susanne Frilot to create Haelan House may not be so very different from any of your stories. Susanne’s story includes the heartache of dealing with her sister’s suicide and Cheryl’s deals with a lifetime of emotional and verbal abuse. They each have been on their trauma healing journeys that lead them to each other, and this project of the heart.
We invite you to take the time to educate yourself about trauma, including what it is and how it affects you. On this website, we provide you with answers and solutions, tools, and resources, that can help you get started or continue toward a happy, more fulfilling life.
By educating people about trauma and its effects, local organizational resources, complementary and alternative healing modalities, and support, we can help people on their healing journey.
We hope this information will help you on your healing journey.
To Your Well-being,
Haelan House
